Team Captain Meeting


Don't forget, the next Team Captain Meeting is May 15!!!  
(not the 14th that some documents have stated)
We're getting close to Relay, so it's important to be there and get all the last minuet details. 
This will be our last TC meeting before Relay, and will be held at the Fairgrounds Grandstand

Team Fundraiser: Youth for a Cure


Youth for a Cure is hosting a garage sale
Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21, from 7 am to 3 pm. 

 All proceedswill benefit Relay for Life.  
The sale will be at 1468 S. Ranch Drive,Springfield, 65809.

Team Fundraiser: PKLC









Team PKLC is getting geared up for spring with a huge multi-family yard sale. Come check out a wide variety of items, including kid's toys, clothing and accessories, books, household items and more. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life of Springfield.

Help us collect canned goods!



Canned goods will be used to secure the luminaria on the track.  Please start collecting canned goods and ou can bring them by the office anytime between 8:30am and 5:00pm.  The Luminaria Committee's goal is 1000 luminaria!!

Team Fundraiser: Angels of Hope

Angels of Hope will be hosting a fundraiser at Zio's Italian Kitchen at 1249 E Kingsley Street here in Springfield. The date is set for April 17,12 11am-10pm. Please . They have to bring in the flyer with them.  15% towards every sales ticket will go toward the ACS.

Committee Spotlight: June Lammers

June Lammers got involved on a Relay Team in 2001.  In 2002, she joined the committee as Luminaria Ceremony Co-Chair.  Since then, she has served in many committee positions to include Event Director and Co-Chair.  In 2011, many committee members (and a few margaritas) convinced June she would be great for sponsorship.  Now, June holds the Sponsorship Chair title for the 2012 Springfield/Greene County Relay for Life.  In June’s spare time, she is the Team Captain for Team Hospitality and Hope.  She also serves as the Chair for the Relay for Life Chairman’s Circle, a group of community leaders formed to stimulate growth, recognition, and participation in Relay.  June Relays because so many people in her family have been victims of cancer.  She hopes to be a part of the elimination of this disease all together.

Academy Sports Fundraising Challenge


Relay For Life Fundraising Challenge

·       Fundraising dates between April 1st and May 1st

·       Team must be registered online

·       At least 10 people must be registered online for that team

·       At least $100 per team member must be raised/turned in

·       All teams reaching this challenge by May 1st will be placed in a drawing.  10 qualifying teams will be drawn at the May 14th team captain’s meeting.  A representative from the team must be present to win

·       The 10 teams drawn will each receive a $100 gift card to Academy Sports & Outdoors

·       Purple camp chair presented to team who completes this challenge first

This should be fun and free $’s to spend on campsite enhancements or – purchase something for the basket auction for your team to sell!!

Team Fundraiser: CBCO

The CBCO Relay team is having a fund raising night at the Pizza Inn on Battlefield Monday, March 19 from 6pm – 8 pm. All tips and a portion of buffet sales go to the Relay For Life. Go enjoy dinner with your family and friends, and support CBCO's team!
